If you are drawing up your wedding plans or planning a Civil Ceremony you probably have dozens of links already. I hope that some of these are useful. Each one will open in a new window:

• Tulip Jewellery - a Basingstoke based friend of ours, Kathie Pemberton, makes lovely jewellery. We're particularly taken by her fused glass work.
• Petra Jewellery - Petra and her daughter Mitch are based in the Viables Centre in Basingstoke. The shop is something of an Aladdin's cave of goodies.
• Tideline design - Basingstoke jeweller, Jane Eastman makes stunning jewellery with links to the sea. Think abalone shell, pearls, items made from driftwood, fossilised coral.
• Balloons For U - balloons for all occasions. Whether you want somewhere decorated with balloons or want to buy balloons for any occasion, head to Balloons for U down Pack Lane in Basingstoke.
• Cruickshank's Cakes - cakes for all occasions. Trevor is a really nice guy. Friendly and always with a smile. He has now opened a shop at 5 Queens Parate, New Street in Basingstoke and sells hand made chocolates in there - you have been warned.
• Sugar Sensations - Sarah Dineen's cakes look spectacular. Her flowers have to be seen to be believed. They are really convincing and make some real flowers look like bad silk imitations
• Celebrations Discotheques - Alan is a great guy, very friendly. He has now been doing discos for over 20 years and has a wide selection of music to suit your event.
• Lavender Blue Flowers - if you're worried that you talk to a different person every time you go to a florist give Lorna a try. Have a look at her website to see her gallery of flowers.
• Mr & Mrs Online - a simple concept. Buy a website for your wedding and hold all kinds of stuff on there.
• Bluebeckers at Mill House - the Mill House restaurant at North Warnborough near Odiham has a barn licensed for civil ceremonies and a great restaurant to provide the food for your big day. The Mill House is right on the water side with beautiful grounds.
