One thing I’ve always said is that the day I stop learning you can nail the casket lid down on me! It will come as no surprise then that I’m always trying to improve my photography skills.

Lately I’ve been under the watchful eye of Kevin Wilson as my mentor. Well respected in our industry and with so many awards to his name that I can’t begin to tell you.

Some months ago Sheila and I went to visit Kevin and he did a very thorough review of what we do. Then, two weeks ago, we had a very intensive day with him at the beautiful spot of Athelhampton House. Megan was our model for the day. A simple blog post can’t tell you all that we did – and I’m not going to try. All I will say is that Megan is a star (holding poses for ages and being barefoot on cold stone floors). Thanks to Megan’s mum, Nickie, too – she was press-ganged into holding reflectors for us several times.

Sheila and I learned such a lot. Thank you to Kevin for his kind guidance.

Ok, lots of waffle, you just want to see the images. Here are my favourite four from the day.
